A. Conference Registration Fee Includes:
Conference materials, executive box lunches, meet the speakers book signing event, film screenings, keynote lectures, all concurrent workshop sessions from Friday, April 28 through Sunday, April 30 and the closing celebration. No dinners are included, but please consider registering for the Community Dinner! It’s a very special event.


B. Institutes: You have the option to register for a Thursday, April 27 preconference and/or Sunday, April 30 institute (which overlaps with the last day of the conference). There is an additional fee (which includes lunch) to attend a Thurs. or Sun. institute. Attend both an Institute and the WPC and receive a $20 discount!


C. Middle School and High School Students have unique opportunities designed with them in mind. Learn about earning academic credit in section H.

  1. Youth Action Project (April 28-30): Concurrent with the WPC, High School students participate in the Youth Action Project. Click here for more info. Cost: $225/includes lunch and an evening social room.
  2. High School Youth Institute (Thursday, April 27): This one-day, pre-conference institute is designed for high school students interested in exploring issues of social justice and liberation. Cost: $100/includes lunch.
  3. Middle School Youth Institute (Thursday, April 27): This one-day, pre-conference institute is designed for middle school students interested in exploring issues of social justice and liberation. Cost: $100/includes lunch.

D. WPC Community Dinner: Join us on Saturday night for our annual dinner and celebration. Everyone is invited and all are welcome. A special cultural performance and/or keynote will directly FOLLOW the dinner.

The Community Dinner provides: an opportunity to celebrate with community and reconfirm our commitment to peace, equity and justice; an opportunity to celebrate the spirit/history of collaboration, cooperation and community-building, and reflect on what sustains all of us through the many challenges of engaging in social justice work; and an opportunity to celebrate the role that creative expression has played/continues to play in working towards liberation. We will have moments of celebration, liberation and silent reflection, followed by some courageous conversations about local, national and global issues. Cost is $50/person or $40/student. Onsite purchase may not be available, as this event typically sells out in advance.

F. Registration Group Discounts: Each registrant MUST complete a registration form. Group discount options: 10-20 people 5%, 21 or more 10%. For groups larger than 50 please contact the WPC Team at


G. Cancellation/Refund policy:

If you cannot attend the Conference, you may transfer your registration to another attendee or request a refund. There will be no penalty for cancellations received on or before the date 30 days prior to the first day of the conference. The full amount paid minus a 10% processing fee will be refunded. A cancellation fee of 50% of registration costs will be applied for cancellations received between 29 to 10 days before the conference. No refund will be issued for cancellations received less than 10 days before the first day of the conference, unless in accordance with the Emergency Policy below.

All cancellations requests must be sent in writing via e-mail or regular mail to the contact information below. Telephone requests will not be honored. Please fax or email cancellations, if possible, and expect confirmation within three business days. If necessary to cancel by USPS, please allow sufficient time for a response. WPC is not responsible for problems beyond our control such as weather conditions and No refunds will be given for those situations. The final decision on refunds rests with the WPC Executive Team.

Emergency Illness or Death of Registrant or Immediate Family Member
Refunds may be granted if an attendee is unable to attend the conference due to a family death, illness, or other extraordinary circumstance. In such a circumstance, the Main Office must be contacted by phone, letter or e-mail. If initial notification is by phone, it must be followed up in writing. Refunds will still be subject to the 10% processing fee.


H. Academic Credit: Conference participants, including current high school students, may earn undergraduate or graduate transferable university credit. Course registration and syllabi are available here. NOTE: REGISTRATION for credit is in addition to, and separate from, the conference registration process.


I. We encourage you to donate – $5, $10, or $100 to help fund other participants and students who want to attend the WPC, but who cannot afford it. In 2014, with the support of corporate and individual donors, the WPC awarded more than $15,000 in scholarships. Any amount would be greatly appreciated!
