Registration Information

WPC21 MESA COVID UPDATE: On March 11, 2020 COVID-19 was officially declared a Pandemic, and shortly after the United States issued a state of emergency. All cancellations after this date were refunded, less the 10% processing fee.(Emergency Illness Policy)


The cancellation fee assisted our nonprofit in covering the costs associated with the conference that we were not able to contractually avoid. We appreciate your support during this difficult time.


*Note - An audit was done on June 7 - anyone who paid by check, was refunded by check. Credit Card refunds were complete (for all line items purchased) and refunded to the credit card on file.


Anyone who deferred registration for next year - will be contacted in January 2021.

Conference Registration Fee Includes:

Conference materials, executive box lunches, meet the speakers & book signing event, film screenings, keynote lectures, all concurrent workshop sessions from Thursday, April 2nd through Saturday, April 4, 2020 and the closing celebration.  No dinners are included, but please consider registering for the Community Dinner!  It's a very special event.



You have the option to register for a Wednesday, April 1st pre-conference institute.  There is an additional fee (which includes lunch) to attend the Wednesday.

Middle School and High School Students have unique opportunities designed with them in mind. 

Youth Action Project (April 2-4)

Concurrent with the WPC, High School students participate in the Youth Action Project.  Click here for more information.  Cost $215.00/includes lunch and an evening social room.

High School Institute (Wednesday, April 1)

This one-day, pre-conference institute is designed for high school students interested in exploring issues of social justice and liberation.  Cost: $110.00/includes lunch.

Middle School Institute (Wednesday, April 1)

This one-day, pre-conference institute is designed for middle school students interested in exploring issues of social justice and liberation.  Cost: $110.00/includes lunch.

Community Dinner:

Join us on Friday night for our annual dinner and celebration.  Everyone is invited and all are welcome.  A special cultural performance and/or keynote will directly FOLLOW the dinner.  The Community Dinner provides: an opportunity to celebrate with community and reconfirm our commitment to building peace, equity and justice; an opportunity celebrate the spirit/history of collaboration, cooperation and community-building, and reflect on what sustains all of us through the many challenges of engaging in social justice work; and an opportunity to celebrate the role that creative expression has played/continues to play in working towards liberation.  We will have moments of celebration, liberation and silent reflection, followed by some courageous conversations about local, national and global issues.  Cost TBD. Onsite purchase many not be available, as this event typically sells out in advance.

Cancellation/Refund Policy:


If you cannot attend the Conference, you may transfer your registration to another attendee or request a refund.  There will be no penalty for cancellations received on or before the date 30 days prior to the first day of the conference.  The full amount paid minus a 10% processing fee will be refunded.  A cancellation fee of 50% of registration cost will be applied for cancellations received between 29 to 10 days before the first of the conference.  No refund will be issued for cancellations received within 10 days before the first day of the conference, unless in accordance with the Emergency Policy below.

Emergency Illness or Death of Registrant or Immediate Family Member

Refunds may be granted if an attendee is unable to attend the conference due to a family death, illness, or other extraordinary circumstance.  In such a circumstance, the Main Office must be contacted by phone, letter or e-mail.  If initial notification is by phone, it must be followed up in writing.  Refunds will still be subject to the 10% processing fee.

All cancellations requests must be sent in by writing via e-mail or regular mail to the contact information below.  Telephone requests will not be honored.  Please fax e-mail cancellations, if possible, and expect confirmation within three business days.  If necessary to cancel by USPS, please allow sufficient time for a response.  WPC is not responsible for problems beyond our control such as weather conditions and No refunds will be given for those situations.  The final decision on refunds rests with the WPC Executive Team.
